What course is best for a flight attendant?

Bachelor of Science in Tourism

This degree prepares students for careers in the hospitality industry like being a flight attendant. Students in this course learn about management principles in the tourism industry, history and culture, customer service, risk management, as well as the legal aspects of tourism.

How do I become a flight attendant in SA?

To commence training, you must be:

  1. 18 years or older, and have a Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
  2. Be able to speak, read and write English.
  3. Be able to swim in water, with the aid of a life jacket.
  4. Be in possession of a valid Class 4 Medical Certificate (see further details below)

What qualifications do you need to become a flight attendant?

You don’t need a degree in order to become a flight attendant. Most airlines expect you to have a grade 4 or above in English and maths GCSE. There are a few requirements to becoming a member of an airline’s cabin crew. You need to be over 18, have a decent level of fitness and be able to pass a medical check.
