Requirements
Requirements.co.za sets out what you actually need to qualify for something in South Africa: the eligibility criteria, the documents, the process and the conditions that follow.
Requirements are set by the body that makes the decision, not by us. Every guide points you to that authority so you can confirm the detail before you commit time or money to an application.

Education, Career and Funding Requirements
Study, work and funding requirements are closely linked, because what you can study affects what you can qualify for, and how you fund it has its own criteria again.
For study, the published minimum makes you eligible to be considered rather than guaranteeing a place, and points are calculated differently by different institutions. For funding, meeting a lender criteria is separate from passing its affordability assessment. See Education Requirements, Career Requirements and Finance and Funding Requirements, or go straight to admission requirements or loan requirements.
Travel, Business and Government Requirements
These are the categories where the requirement is set in law or policy and administered by a specific authority, so the official source matters more than anywhere else on the site.
A visa permits travel to a port of entry rather than guaranteeing admission. Registering a company creates the entity but does not make it compliant. A government application turns on eligibility first and document verification second. See Travel and Immigration Requirements, Business and Compliance Requirements, Government Service Requirements and Legal and Document Requirements.
Technology, Driving and Consumer Requirements
Here the requirements are set by a company rather than by an authority, which means they change more often and differ between providers offering much the same thing.
System specifications are version specific and can be raised by updates. Rideshare platforms apply vehicle criteria on top of the legal licensing position. Account providers each set their own criteria within the regulatory minimum. See Technology Requirements, Driving and Transport Requirements, Consumer Service Requirements, Property and Housing Requirements and Health and Lifestyle Requirements.
How to Use Requirements.co.za
Each guide separates what is generally required from what varies by provider, institution or authority, so you can see which parts are fixed and which you need to confirm for your own case.
Where a figure changes often, such as a fee, a threshold or a closing date, we point you to the responsible authority rather than publishing a number that may be out of date by the time you read it. Requirements.co.za is an independent information website. It is not a government service and cannot process, assess or decide any application.
