Who qualifies for supplementary exams at Tut?

A student who fails the main examination in a module/subject, but obtains a final mark of 45% to 49%, qualifies for a supplementary examination.

What happens if you pass supplementary exam?

The result of the supplementary assessment may form the total and final reassessment of a student’s performance in a course and no account needs to be taken of the course mark.

How do you qualify for supplementary exams?

A student who obtains a final mark of 40 – 49% in a module qualifies for a supplementary examination. If a pass mark has been obtained in a module, but the required sub-minimum of 40% has not been obtained in the examination, the student will have to write a supplementary examination.

What happens if you fail a module twice at Tut?

2.4 A student, who has failed the same subject during two (2) different study periods, will be placed on probation. Failing that same subject(s) on a third attempt, will result in exclusion with the right to appeal.
