To qualify for the Toyota Bursary, applicants must meet the following requirements:[1][2][3]
- Be a South African citizen
- Have completed Matric
- Be studying full-time towards a qualification in a funded field:
- Commerce: Accounting (non-CA, including Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting), Analytics, Business Mathematics and Informatics, Economics, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Law
- Engineering: Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics
- Science: Business Science Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Science
- Study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- Achieve the minimum academic results:
- Usually a minimum of 60% to 65% for both Mathematics and English in Matric
- At least 60% to 65% overall average in current tertiary studies
- Show strong academic and leadership potential
- Have a combined household income of less than R750,000 per year (if specified for financial need assessment)
- Application must include key documents: ID document, Matric certificate, complete tertiary academic record, and proof of household income
- Applications are available online from April and close on 30 September each year
